Mathemagical

When you arrived

I was a mirror 28

Yet infinitely older

Figuring.

Then you were 10

And I, a mirror 39

Four times as old.

Then came 14

To my 43

Now three times as old.

When you're 29

I'll be 58

Just twice as old.

And the day will arrive

When you'll be older than me.

I'll be calling out stars

From some distant corner of the universe.
